Is this for you?

Open wider than you’d think.

You’re eligible if…

  • You’re in grade 9 or above, up to age 30 — high school or university.
  • You’re anywhere in Canada or the United States; you don’t need to be near Surrey.
  • Under 18? We’ll ask for a supervising adult we can reach — a teacher works.

You’ll…

  • Run presentations, campaigns, fundraisers, and events at your own school and in your community.
  • Build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills by organizing real things.
  • Grow into the workshop facilitators, fellows, and researchers behind every HeartWise program.

Details & FAQ

The fine print, one tap away.

Do I need a group to apply?
No. Apply on your own and we’ll plug you into the network. If you have six or more people ready, you can launch an ambassador group at your own school.
How are groups run?
There are no leadership titles. Every ambassador has an equal say; some simply lead specific departments — events, campaigns, fundraising — so things get done.
I’m under 18 — can I join?
Yes. We ask applicants under 18 for a supervising adult we can reach, such as a teacher, on the application.
Is there a cost or a set time commitment?
There is no fee. How much time it takes depends on the activities your group chooses to run.
Where are the ambassador photos?
Ambassador photos join this page in September, as the team sends them.
